This is Jeff Beukeboom's 1997-1998 New York Rangers game-worn liberty alternate jersey. There was only one set of liberty jerseys this year, worn throughout the season on both the road and at home. The Rangers wore these for a total of 15 games, 10 of which Beukeboom played in. The jersey shows excellent use, particularly for an alternate. Both sleeves have a number of puck/stick marks as well as board burns. The front of the jersey as well as the back numbers also show holes and other marks. Both sleeves have been cut at the wrists and have not been repaired. The assistant captain's "A" is sewn on the left chest and the neck has also been reinforced. New York Rangers/Meigray Group numbered set tag has been sewn into the rear hem. The jersey originated with the Meigray Group and has their COA as well as a COA directly from the New York Rangers signed by general manager Neil Smith.
