This is a Mike Richter game-used Bauer R5000 stick, used during the 2001-2002 season with the New York Rangers. The stick shows heavy use and is fully taped on the blade and handle. There are puck/skate marks throughout the stick, and post paint on the blade and top of the shaft. The shaft has Richter's name stamped on it which is partially covered up by the handle tape. The handle tape has the date "11/6/01" written on it in black marker which means that it was used in a game at Madison Square Garden in New York against the Minnesota Wild. It was a 3-1 win for the Rangers in which Richter recorded 23 saves. The win was Richter's 6th of the season, and 278th out of 301 in his career. The stick originated from the Meigray group and has a COA from the New York Rangers.

The stick is now photo matched to a game action shot of Richter, clearly displaying the gash in the tape as well as a number of the distinct puck marks.
