Ty-Co Memorabilia

This is a Mike York game-used CCM road blue helmet. It was used during his time with the New York Rangers. The helmet has the 9-11, NHL, and his number 16 stickers on the outside. Inside, it has his number 18, and NHL stickers. The helmet has great use! The chin strap has tons of pilling and the snap is completely salted. The pads inside the helmet are packed out completely. Possibly the only blue helmet York used in his first 3 years in the NHL! This came from the Meigray group, and has a COA from the New York Rangers.

This helmet was definitely used during the 2001-2002, and 2000-2001 seasons with the New York Rangers. This is indicated by the 9-11 and "16" stickers on the outside (only used in 01-02). But the "18" and NHL stickers on the inside could mean it was used during 1999-2000 and 2000-2001, or just 2000-2001. I would have to think it was used in all three years....Why would they give a rookie a new helmet after one year, then make a second year player use the same one for two...

I have not yet photo matched this helmet to a distinctive puck mark...But the way the padding appears through the vents in the front of the helmet, and the it hangs out of the earpiece is evident in every picture of York using this helmet in the last 3 years. I have included a picture below so you can see this.

Here is a photo of York wearing this helmet:
